Code of Behaviour

Earniversity Code of Behaviour outlines the expectations for staff, volunteers, mentors, and students when engaging in activities on the platform. It serves to ensure a respectful, safe, and professional environment that supports the personal and entrepreneurial growth of young people.


General Conduct

All individuals involved in Earniversity must:

  • Act with integrity, honesty, and professionalism in all interactions, whether online or in-person.
  • Treat every individual with respect, without regard to age, disability, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background.
  • Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards the development of young entrepreneurs, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

Comply with all Earniversity policies and applicable laws, especially those concerning safeguarding and child protection.

Principles of ethical conduct

 

Online Conduct

To ensure a safe and respectful digital environment, all users must:

  • Use respectful and appropriate language in all communications, including emails, chats, forums, and social media.
  • Never engage in or condone any form of harassment, bullying, or abusive behaviour (including cyberbullying).
  • Avoid sharing inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content, including any images, videos, or messages.
  • Respect others’ privacy by not disclosing personal or sensitive information without consent.
  • Always report any concerns about inappropriate online behaviour or safety risks to the designated safeguarding team.
Earniversity has a zero tolerance for unruly behaviour in the sessions. Students displaying rude, inappropriate or distracting behaviour will be politely asked to stop while repeat offenders will be asked to leave and not welcomed back.


Respect for Privacy and Data

  • Never share personal or confidential information of students, staff, or other users without proper consent.
  • Follow Earniversity’s policies on data protection, ensuring that information is handled securely and only used for legitimate purposes.
  • Maintain secure access to Earniversity platforms by protecting login credentials and using secure passwords.

Safeguarding and Mentoring

  • Staff, mentors, and volunteers are expected to prioritize the safety and welfare of students at all times.
  • Physical or emotional abuse, exploitation, or manipulation of any young person is strictly prohibited.
  • Maintain professional boundaries when mentoring or interacting with young people, avoiding any inappropriate personal relationships or discussions.
  • Be vigilant for signs of distress or harm in young people and report any safeguarding concerns immediately.

Marketplace Conduct

For young entrepreneurs using a marketplace:

  • Abide by fair trade practices and ethical business standards, ensuring that all products and services sold are legal, safe, and accurately represented.
  • Respect all terms of service for the marketplace, including rules on intellectual property, copyright, and the appropriate use.
  • Do not engage in fraudulent activity or make false claims about products and services.

How We Keep Young People Safe

Earniversity is dedicated to safeguarding young people by:

  • Appointing an Online Safety Coordinator who will work closely with the designated safeguarding lead.

  • Encouraging safe and respectful online practices, helping young entrepreneurs and learners understand the importance of responsible internet use, social media interactions, and protecting their online ventures.

  • Regularly review online security and update safeguards on our platforms to ensure a safe environment.
  • Implementing secure systems for managing usernames, logins, email accounts, and personal data to protect against breaches.

  • Providing ongoing training for staff and volunteers about safeguarding, with a specific focus on online safety, child protection, and dealing with issues like cyberbullying, sexting, and online exploitation.

Responding to Online Abuse

In cases where online abuse occurs, Earniversity will:

  • Follow explicit safeguarding procedures to address any reports of abuse, whether physical, emotional, sexual, or online in nature.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff and volunteers on how to handle situations involving bullying, cyberbullying, exploitation, or other forms of abuse.

Earniversity Event Terms & Conditions
Earniversity Roadshow / Information Event
(Ticketed or Complimentary Entry)
By registering for or attending an Earniversity event (the “Event”) hosted by Earniversity Ltd (the “Company”), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

 

  • Eligibility to Attend

    All attendees must register for the Event through the official registration page or receive a confirmed invitation from Earniversity.

    Event registration grants access to the event presentation only and does not include enrolment in any Earniversity programme unless separately purchased.

    Access to Earniversity programmes, coaching services, or digital platforms is not included in the event registration unless explicitly stated.

    Attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Ticket Policy

    Event registrations are valid only for the individual named at registration.

    Tickets may not be resold or transferred without prior written approval from Earniversity.

    Ticket prices (including discounted or promotional rates where applicable) cover attendance at the event only.

    Travel, accommodation, meals, parking, and other personal expenses are not included in the ticket price.

    Seats are limited and may be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

    Earniversity reserves the right to refuse entry if registration details are incomplete, inaccurate, or cannot be verified.

     

  • Payment

    Where tickets are paid, payment must be made in full through the official booking page to confirm attendance.

    Payment processing is handled through approved third-party payment providers.

    Payments may appear on your bank statement under Earniversity Ltd or its authorised payment processor.

     

     

  • Cancellations, Refunds & Event Changes

    Event tickets are non-refundable, except where required by law or if the event is cancelled by Earniversity.

    If the event is rescheduled and you are unable to attend the new date, you may request either a refund or a transfer to another available event.

    If you are unable to attend, you may request to transfer your registration to a future available event date by contacting Earniversity in writing.

    Transfer requests should be made at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled event start time.

    Requests received within 24 hours of the event may not be accommodated.

    Earniversity reserves the right to make reasonable changes to event dates, locations, speakers, or schedules where necessary.

     

  • Event Access & Conduct

    Earniversity reserves the right to deny entry or remove participants who behave in a disruptive, abusive, or inappropriate manner.

    Attendees are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, speakers, and fellow attendees at all times.

    The Company may refuse entry or remove individuals where necessary to protect the safety, wellbeing, or experience of other participants.

     

  • Recording & Media

    The Event may be photographed, filmed, or recorded for educational or promotional purposes.

    By attending the Event, you consent to your image or voice being used in such materials unless you notify Earniversity in writing prior to the Event.

     

  • Liability

    Earniversity is not responsible for any personal property that is lost, stolen, or damaged during the Event.

    Attendance and participation in the Event is at your own risk.

    To the fullest extent permitted by law, Earniversity accepts no liability for any injury, loss, or damages incurred while attending the Event.

    Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

     

  • Educational Disclaimer

    Earniversity events are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

    The Event may include discussion of personal development, skills development, entrepreneurial thinking, and opportunity creation for young people.

    Examples, case studies, or stories shared during the Event are illustrative only and do not guarantee specific outcomes or results.

    Individual experiences will vary depending on each student’s participation, effort, and circumstances.

    Participation in the Event does not guarantee admission into any Earniversity programme or specific outcomes.

    Parents and students are encouraged to consider whether any programme discussed during the Event is appropriate for their individual goals and circumstances before enrolling.

     

  • Amendments

    Earniversity reserves the right to update or amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.
